Remember Me

(Ernesto de la Cruz)

Remember me, though I have to say goodbye. Remember me, don’t let it make you cry.
For even if I’m far away, I hold you in my heart.
I sing a secret song to you each night we are a part.
Remember me, though I have to travel far.
Remember me each time you hear a sad guitar.
Know that I’m with you the only way that I can be.
Until you’re in my arms again, remember me.

It might seem crazy what I'm 'bout to say
Sunshine she's here, you can take a break
I'm a hot air balloon that could go to space
With the air, like I don't care baby by the way

Huh, because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

The VIRGINIA REEL

A folk dance from the 17th century. Back before electronics and other modern forms of entertainment, people would make music in the evening with their families and at larger gatherings. Dancing would often accompany the live music. We learned a modified version of THE VIRGINIA REEL and danced to TURKEY IN THE STRAW.

[[media type=file key=06 Minuet in G Major (Bach) - performance.mp3 width=240 height=20 width="240" height="20"]] (version without vocals)

Bach wrote a minuet one day, he played it on his clavier.
Such lovely music played on a keyboard 300 years ago!
His 20 children loved this song, they sang and danced it all night long.
It's a French dance so take the right stance and we will all begin.
Li, li, li......loo, loo, loo
123, One twirl please
Li, li, li......loo, loo, loo
123, Then you take a bow

ONE DAY- BY MATISYAHU

RECORDER PART:

One Day Recorder Part.png

VERSE 1
Sometimes I lay under the moon

And thank God I'm breathing

Then I pray don't take me soon

'Cause I am here for a reason

PRE-CHORUS:

Sometimes in my tears I drown

But I never let it get me down

So when negativity surrounds

I know some day it'll all turn around because...

CHORUS:
All my life I've been waiting for

I've been praying for

For the people to say

That we don't wanna fight no more

There’ll be no more wars

And our children will play

One day [x6]

VERSE 2
It's not about win or lose

Because we all lose

When they feed on the souls of the innocent

Blood-drenched pavement

Keep on moving though the waters stay raging

In this maze you can lose your way (your way)

It might drive you crazy but don't let it faze you

no way (no way)

GO BACK TO: PRE-CHORUS/CHORUS

VERSE 3

One day this all will change

Treat people the same

Stop with the violence

Down with the hate

One day we'll all be free

And proud to be

Under the same sun

Singing songs of freedom like

One day [x2]

GO BACK TO: CHORUS (2x's)
